Use Default Dashboards and Operating Reviews

What this does

This guide explains how to use LoopIQ’s built-in dashboards and operating reviews to monitor software delivery, release readiness, compliance, and executive risk.

Use the default dashboards

LoopIQ includes a set of default dashboards that provide a starting point for common SDLC questions.

Overview Dashboard

Use the Overview Dashboard when you want a broad operating picture across current delivery, risk, and quality signals.

Developer Productivity

Use Developer Productivity to review engineering flow, pull request activity, release trends, and development output patterns.

Sprint Risk Timeline

Use Sprint Risk Timeline to understand sprint risk patterns, likely spillover, and emerging delivery constraints.

Team Risk Heatmap

Use Team Risk Heatmap to compare risk posture across teams in the current organization.

Release Burndown

Use Release Burndown to review release progress for all teams in the current organization or narrow to a specific team when needed.

Object Relationship

Use Object Relationship to inspect links across delivery objects such as work items, releases, and related records.

Edit built-in dashboard queries

For the following dashboards, authorized users can edit the underlying query behavior without replacing the dashboard:
  • Overview
  • Developer Productivity
  • Sprint Risk Timeline
  • Team Risk Heatmap
  • Release Burndown
This is useful when you need to adapt built-in views for local reporting needs while keeping the overall dashboard structure. Object Relationship remains a fixed system dashboard and is not part of the built-in query editing flow.

Use operating reviews

Operating Reviews turns dashboard signals into leadership review packs. Typical review packs include:
  • Release Readiness Control Tower
  • Compliance and Evidence Review
  • Engineering Health Review
  • Executive Portfolio Review
Each review pack is designed to help answer:
  • what is off track
  • what changed
  • who is impacted
  • what action should happen next

Export review packs

Operating Reviews can produce executive-ready outputs such as:
  • copied executive summaries
  • downloadable text briefs
  • PDF board packs
  • PPT board packs
Use these exports when preparing leadership reviews, release-readiness meetings, governance checkpoints, or board updates.

Promote findings into follow-up work

If a dashboard widget or saved chart reveals an issue:
  1. Open the chart or widget action menu.
  2. Choose Promote to review artifact.
  3. Pick the appropriate review pack.
  4. Add an owner, due date, and status.
  5. Save the artifact so the issue can be tracked through resolution.
