# Manage Documents and Related Files

## What This Does

This guide explains how to attach, review, and manage documents related to work items in LoopIQ.

## Before You Begin

Make sure:

* the target record already exists
* you have permission to view or update documents

## Steps

1. Open the work item or document area.
2. Go to the attachments, documents, or related files section.
3. Upload the file or open an existing document.
4. Review the metadata shown for the file.
5. Add or update related documents if the workflow supports them.
6. Open the document from the record when reviewing work.
7. Remove or replace outdated files when needed.

## What Happens Next

Documents remain connected to the related work item and can be used during review, approvals, audits, or execution workflows.

## Tips

* Use clear file names so reviewers understand what each attachment contains.
* Keep only the most current supporting files on active records.
* If you cannot see a file, verify both permission scope and team context.
