# Run Test Executions and Log Results

## What This Does

This guide explains how testers execute planned work and capture outcomes accurately.

## Steps

1. Open the execution area in `Test Management`.
2. Open the execution assigned to you or your team.
3. Review the linked test case and expected outcome.
4. Perform the test.
5. Update the execution result.
6. Add comments, evidence, or attachments where needed.
7. If the test fails, log a linked defect or issue if your process requires it.
8. Save the execution result.

Execution results feed:

* pass/fail dashboards
* release readiness checks
* defect follow-up
* compliance and audit evidence
