# Missing Data Because of Team Context

Use this guide when a record, dashboard metric, list item, board card, or filter result appears to be missing.

## Common Symptoms

* a newly created item does not appear in list view
* a board does not show an item you expect to see
* a dashboard metric looks lower than expected
* an approval, issue, or request appears for one teammate but not another

## Most Likely Cause

The current team in the top header is different from the team scope used when the item was created or filtered.

## Steps to Troubleshoot

1. Check the team shown in the top header.
2. Switch to the team you expected to be using.
3. Refresh the current page.
4. Re-run the same search or filter.
5. Open the item create or detail page and confirm the stored team value.
6. If the page supports organization-wide views, test the same lookup without a team filter.
7. If the item is still missing, confirm whether the entity is team-scoped or organization-scoped in your setup.
