This guide explains how to move data into or out of LoopIQ using the import and export tools.

Before You Begin

Make sure:
  • you know which records you are importing or exporting
  • your file format matches the expected structure
  • you are in the correct team or organization context

Choose the Right Import Path

Use the general import flow for spreadsheet or file-based imports. Use Import from Jira when you want LoopIQ to connect directly to Jira and import issues from the saved Jira connector.

Steps

  1. Open the Import and Export area.
  2. Choose whether you want to import or export data.
  3. For imports:
    • select the record type
    • upload the file
    • map fields if prompted
    • review validation results
    • start the import
  4. For exports:
    • choose the record type
    • apply filters
    • select the output format if available
    • start the export
  5. Review status messages, notifications, or generated files.
  6. Validate a small sample of imported or exported records.

What Happens Next

After completion, teams usually:
  1. review the imported records
  2. correct any failed rows
  3. share or archive exported files as needed

  • Import a small sample first before loading a large dataset.
  • Use filters before exporting so the file contains only what is needed.
