Understand Navigation and Team Context

What this does

This article explains how navigation and team context affect what you see in LoopIQ.

Why this matters

Some records are organization-scoped and some are team-scoped. If the wrong team is selected, a user may think data is missing when it is simply filtered by context.

Steps

  1. Open the main sidebar.
  2. Review the major modules available to you.
  3. Locate the team selector in the top area of the application.
  4. Check whether the work you are trying to access is team-based.
  5. If the work is team-based, select the correct team.
  6. Refresh the list, board, or dashboard you are using.
  7. Compare the results after changing team context.

What happens next

After changing team context:
  • team-scoped areas will reflect the selected team
  • organization-scoped areas will continue to show organization-level records

Use team context carefully in these kinds of scenarios:
  • creating work items for a specific team
  • checking team dashboards
  • reviewing team-specific application, module, or feature data
