Create a Change Request

What this does

This guide explains how to create a change request for planned system or process changes.

Before you begin

Prepare:
  • summary of the change
  • implementation details
  • impact and risk information
  • target environment or service
  • rollback approach if applicable

Steps

  1. Open ITSM.
  2. Select Create New.
  3. Choose Change Request.
  4. Enter a clear title.
  5. Describe the planned change.
  6. Select category, priority, and status where needed.
  7. Add risk, impact, implementation, or rollback details.
  8. Choose the related application, feature, environment, or release if applicable.
  9. Save the change request.

What happens next

A change request may then:
  • enter review
  • require approval
  • be scheduled
  • be implemented and validated
  • be closed after completion
