Create Test Plans and Test Cases

What this does

This guide explains how to set up the structure for testing before execution begins.

Steps to create a test plan

  1. Open Test Management.
  2. Go to the test planning area.
  3. Create a new test plan.
  4. Enter the plan name and purpose.
  5. Set any required dates, owners, or release context.
  6. Save the test plan.

Steps to create test cases

  1. Open the test design or test cases area.
  2. Create a new test case.
  3. Enter a clear title.
  4. Add preconditions, steps, and expected results.
  5. Select the appropriate test type and level.
  6. Save the test case.
  7. Add the case to a plan or suite as needed.

What happens next

Your team can use the plan and cases for execution cycles, coverage review, and release readiness.
