Use Test Resource Views and Capacity Tracking

What this does

This guide explains how to review testing workload, team capacity, and execution demand using LoopIQ test resource views.

Before you begin

Make sure:
  • test plans, test suites, or test executions already exist
  • testers or teams are assigned where appropriate
  • you are in the correct team context

Steps

  1. Open Test Management.
  2. Go to the resource or workload view for testing.
  3. Apply filters for:
    • team
    • tester
    • status
    • time range
  4. Review the visible totals for:
    • assigned test work
    • upcoming executions
    • overloaded testers or teams
  5. Open individual records to confirm:
    • priority
    • due dates
    • blockers
    • execution readiness
  6. Reassign or rebalance work as needed.
  7. Return to the view and confirm the load looks reasonable.

What happens next

Teams typically use this view to:
  1. distribute execution work more evenly
  2. reduce testing bottlenecks
  3. plan upcoming test cycles

Tips

  • This view is most useful when assignments and dates are maintained consistently.
  • If expected data is missing, check the team selector and current filters.
